Operating across two warehousing units, our specialist warehouse is capable of storing over 200 tonnes of product enabling us to cater for deliveries both large & small. Our warehousing and internal logistics are specifically designed to meet & exceed our customer expectations. Currently, we operate from over 50,000 sq.ft of warehousing with further expansion plans on the horizon.The majority of our products are despatched from our own warehouse whilst some may be despatched direct from manufacturer.
We use a range of Royal Mail, private couriers, and pallet haulage firms along with our own delivery vehicles to make our deliveries.
You can currently only order online for delivery to the UK, and if you have a valid UK postcode. If you would like delivery to another country, please contact us on email@example.com and we would be happy to look at your requirements.
In some instances, delivery to areas such as Cornwall, the Scottish Highlands and non-mainland UK addresses, may incur additional delivery charges. Where any such charges apply one of our sales team will contact the customer with details of the additional charges. In this instance, orders will not be fulfilled until the additional charge has been accepted. We distribute across Europe, but currenlty our website will only allow UK & Republic of Ireland delivery addresses. If you require a specific quote please contact us.
All prices on this site are inclusive of VAT and, unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page, basket or checkout area, are exclusive of delivery charges. Delivery charges, where applicable, will be added in the checkout area. There are certain restrictions and rules when shipping pesticide products. This depends on the volume, weight & the toxicity of the product. All of our products are shipped using Limited Quantity & ADR regulated couriers and comply with all current legislation. All our products are packed securely and are clearly labelled with the product information, quantity and the class of the product. This is the reason that shipping is slightly more expensive than sending a standard parcel. If you need a product urgently we can offer weekend & early a.m. deliveries, however, there may be an additional charge for this. Please contact us for more information.
Signature / Proof of Delivery (POD) / Age Verification
If you opt for goods to be left at your premises without a signature being required, please be aware that Battersby Sports Ground Supplies will not accept liability for damage that may have occurred to these goods. If you are purchasing professional pesticide the customer, or somebody appointed by the customer, must sign for the delivery. Battersby Sports Ground Supplies and the couriers are entilted to ask the customer for proof of age upon delivery of goods. Battersby Sports Ground Supplies and the couriers reserve the right to decline delivery of the goods if suitable proof of age cannot be provided.

You will be notified by email when your order is ready for collection. Contactless collection is possible and there are social distancing measures in place. Please follow our staff members advice upon your visit.
Delivery Lead Time
Standard delivery time for most products is 3 to 5 working days following the day of order. Saturdays and Sundays and official UK Bank Holidays are NOT defined as working days. Some products are available on a next working day delivery service if the order is placed and paid for before midday the previous working day. In some instances, principally machinery and larger items, delivery may take longer and will require confirmation - you will be contacted by a member of the Battersby team. Most products will give details of how long delivery will take.
For Battersby Delivery Please allow up to 7 working days for your order to arrive before contacting us - please do not call to track your order before this time.
The company will make every effort to deliver products ordered on the agreed date, but, if for any reason the company is unable to deliver then no liability will fall to the company; whether in damages or otherwise, for delay of whole or any part of the goods ordered arising from any cause whatsoever. Delivery shall be conditional upon access free from encumbrances and good roads being available to the courier's vehicles to the place of delivery. If the delivery agent cannot gain access to the delivery address then additional costs may be incurred.
Please note that orders with several items may arrive in separate packages. Unfortunately these can get separated during shipping, but are likely to arrive within the following 2 working days. Our team will aim to keep you updated should this apply to your order.
Bulk Products (top dressings, loams etc)
A number of our products are delivered on pallets or in large dump bags, in which case lorries are used and a kerbside delivery only can be guaranteed. We use tail–lift offloads and hand pump trucks, therefore we can only offload on to a smooth and level hard standing area; we cannot offload onto pebble/gravel/cobble or soft ground. We will do our best to deliver as close to the property if access allows. We are not able to carry materials up paths or to rear gardens. Access to sites must be on hard roads over which a vehicle can pass without sustaining or causing damage of any kind. When accepting pallet deliveries, there must be a suitable place on hard standing where the lorry can deliver the pallet.
It is the customer's responsibility to let us know if there are access difficulties, including, but not limited to, low bridges, narrow single lanes, weight limit roads, steep driveways or hills. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any concerns.
In the case of kerbside deliveries the customer, or somebody appointed by the customer, should be at the delivery point to accept the delivery.
Whilst we will communicate your special requests and comments to drivers, couriers and hauliers, delivery procedure will fall within our terms of delivery. In some cases, drivers will be able to call prior to the delivery, but in every instance this is not guaranteed or included in the service offered.
